Survey Says: Affiliate Marketing Earns High Marks in Customer Acquisition and Revenue Among Marketers

By Maura Smith, CMO on October 15, 2019

As an affiliate marketing solutions provider, we’re by default, partial to the value and efficacy we see this channel providing to brands and partners every day. But this partiality isn’t a blind faith that we enter hoping the data works in our favor. It’s the exact opposite. It’s pouring over data point after data point making sure we have it right.

And after a long tenure in the digital marketing industry, we’ve been reflecting on how the affiliate channel—despite that fact that it produces a 16:1 ROAS—still isn’t viewed by many marketers in the same light as other primary channels. That thinking prompted us to take action in terms of proving our own beliefs, our own affiliate claims, and we turned to the gold standard in market research to help us do just that.

We commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a survey of 170+ executive-level marketers who are charged with ensuring their organization’s revenue growth and who lead digital strategies that include affiliate marketing to tell us what they really think about the value the channel brings. And our own partiality to the channel aside, the survey proved what we've long known.

Sign up for our webinar, Affiliate Marketing Ranks As A Primary Channel For Customer Acquisition And Revenue Growth, with special guest and Forrester Principal Analyst, Ryan Skinner, and see for yourself why marketers credit the affiliate channel as their top channel in new customer acquisition, a key driver for revenue generation—and a favored channel for pricing flexibility.
