President of GSI Media, CEO of PepperJam Exchange
As President of GSI Media, Steve Denton leads and manages the company’s affiliate network, PepperJam, as well as shapes and drives the direction of the overall GSI Media business unit.
He has over 11 years of digital media experience and 20 years of successfully leading sales and marketing teams. Prior to joining GSI Media, he helped clients manage and monetize cross media marketing solutions as Senior Vice President of Cross Commerce Media. Prior to Cross Commerce Media, Mr. Denton was President of Linkshare Corporation, a leading performance marketing network provider, where he was responsible for all client facing operations including sales, merchant services, affiliate development, search, and marketing. Mr. Denton also served in key leadership roles at FedEx Corporate Services, The Times-Mirror Company, and PepsiCo.
Mr. Denton has a Bachelors of Science Degree from Shepherd University and is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Institute at Duquesne University.
In his limited free time, Mr. Denton enjoys spending time his wife and two young children, coaching soccer and golfing.
Michael Jones
Co-Founder and General Manager of PepperJam Exchange
As general manager of PepperJam, Michael Jones’ primary responsibility is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company.
He served as the Chief Operating Officer of PepperJam for over 5 years prior to its acquisition by GSI Commerce in 2009. With nearly ten years of digital and performance marketing experience, he helped to build one of the most successful online marketing and technology companies in the industry. As one of the chief architects of the PepperJam Exchange platform, he spearheaded many of the technology advancements that have helped to revolutionize the performance marketing space.
In his most recent role as General Manager of PepperJam Exchange, Mr. Jones manages the teams responsible for advertiser and publisher development as well as driving much of the strategic direction of the Network. Prior to PepperJam, he was a commercial litigation attorney at Rosenn, Jenkins and Greenwald, LLP, one of the largest law firms in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Jones has a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and a Juris Doctor from the Villanova School of Law.
He is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys swimming, biking, and running in his free time. He also cherishes spending time with his wife and three children.
Maura Goodwin
Senior Director of Advertiser Development
As Senior Director of Merchant Development at PepperJam, Maura Goodwin’s primary responsibility is to manage the advertiser relationships that help to drive the success of the PepperJam Exchange.
Ms. Goodwin has 5 years of experience in the perforance marketing space. She is widely considered an important and respected voice in the industry. In her current role, Sr. Director of Advertiser Development, for PepperJam Exchange, she interfaces daily with the leading merchants and publishers that drive the performance marketing landscape. Ms. Goodwin’s vast experience with nearly every facet of performance marketing makes her one of the most valuable performance marketing talents in the space.
She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Delaware in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and recently received her MBA from the University of Scranton.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, gourmet meals and spending time with family and friends. Feeding an unhealthy shopping addiction – she can find a deal on almost anything.
Kat Dempsey
Senior Director of PepperJam Exchange’s Lead Generation Division
In her role as Senior Director, Katharine Dempsey’s primary responsibility is to manage the advertiser and publisher relationships that fuel the Lead Generation/CPA division at PepperJam.
Ms. Dempsey has 4 years of experience in the performance marketing space. She ran PepperJam’s media buying division for several years before taking over the lead generation/cpa division of PepperJam Exchange. Ms. Dempsey is charged with expanding and diversifying PepperJam’s client roster and is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of her Division. She oversees all Lead Gen advertiser and affiliate service teams and provides strategic guidance for PepperJam’s comprehensive portfolio of advertisers and affiliates.
Prior to joining PepperJam, she was the Assistant E-commerce Manager for Burberry USA, located in New York.
Ms. Dempsey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin and Marshall College and a Juris Doctorate from The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family at their lake house, baking, hiking, traveling/sightseeing, shopping, and teaching her 4 nephews and niece how to hit a perfect jump shot from the top of the key.
Ned Friar
Director of Sales
As Director of Sales for PepperJam, Ned Friar’s primary responsibility is to manage the global sales efforts of the Company.
He has lead the PepperJam Sales Team for over 3 years, steering customer acquisition efforts prior to the Company’s acquisition by GSI Commerce in 2009. As a dynamic leader, he helped to grow PepperJam into one of the most successful online marketing and technology companies in the industry.
In his current role, he is focused on further growing the PepperJam client portfolio of leading merchants in the performance marketing space. Prior to PepperJam, Mr. Friar was the marketing manager at EFK Group, where he managed the advertising, marketing, sales and public relations division with a primary focus on sporting event properties.
Mr. Friar has a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University. In his free time, he likes to run, snowboard in the winter and spend time at the lake in the summer.
Wes Hablett
Head of Technology
As Head of Technology for PepperJam, Wes Hablett’s primary responsibility is to manage and direct the technology efforts of the Company.
He has led the PepperJam Technology Team for over 3 years, helping to position the PepperJam Exchange Technology Platform as the new standard in the performance marketing space. In his current role, Mr. Hablett provides technical oversight and manages PepperJam’s IT and software development departments, ensuring that PepperJam Exchange remains at the forefront of technology innovation, security and scalability.
For eight years prior to PepperJam, he directed technology efforts at an Internet service provider where he was responsible for the growth and scalability of the company’s infrastructure.
In his free time, he enjoys mountain biking and reading about emerging technologies.
