That’s why when I just finished watching an absolutely hilarious, yet extremely brilliant video between a puppet (Shel Isreal) and the founder of mega-social-news-Web site Digg (Kevin Rose) I just had to share it. Hat flip to Shoemoney for bringing this video to my attention on his blockbuster blog - Shoemoney.com.

BTW - The man moving the puppet “aka, the real Shel Isreal” is no other than Loren Feldman from 1938media - for those of you who are interested in being entertained on a regular basis check out Loren’s brillant video work at www.1938media.com. Also, if you want to get an additional laugh you can watch a promo video with me in it that Loren shot a year or so ago for Text-Link-Ads - in that video notice how I look like a pale ghost - Loren admits that he had a bit of fun editing the video and making me look like Casper…!!! Dang - the video has nearly 25,000 views - now isn’t that just great!!! LOL.
Yeah - I know - the title of this post reads like I’m trying to pump a get rich quick e-book or something.
However, I’m not.
That’s not my style.
I’m just really impressed with the article / interview captured by Joe Whyte about Pepperjam and some of my affiliate marketing philisopies during SES - San Jose.
In fact, when Joe, who writes for Search Marketing Standard, asked me for an interview I actually looked at it as an opportunity to give him some surefire affiliate marketing search arbitrage tricks that he could use to help seed his business - Hybrid SEM. Hybrid SEM is an online marketing business that Joe recently founded with partial inspiration from what I’ve been able to build with Pepperjam (thanks for the props Joe - but always remember - it’s the sum of the parts that makes the ultimate success story.)
Honestly, I think that Joe is an awesome guy and based on my exposure to him over the last few years - Hybrid SEM is going to become a major player in the SEM and SMO spaces within no time.
If you are an affiliate marketer I highly suggest you read the interview since I mention at least one or two things that I haven’t talked about before that should be able to make you a lot of money if you are able to execute.
Remember.
(1) Find something that works. (2) Replicate it. (3) Scale it.

I had the pleasure of interviewing these guys last Friday. This video takes place a day before Kris Jones’ wedding so any reference to “this weekend” really means this past weekend. I wanted to ask them questions ranging from the serious to the insane, so watch as KJones and company answer questions regarding affiliate marketing, favorite food and drink and other very important questions.

Every Friday Pepperjam will post a new video interview of a member of our staff - everyone will be included - affiliates managers, executives, search-engine marketing managers, directors, software engineers, assistants, online media buyers, and interns. The person being interviewed won’t know he / she has been chosen until about 30 seconds before the interview - this way you’ll get an unrehearsed, real world look at the employee…hopefully, this will make it interesting and non-corporate, which is what we are known and respected for across the internet marketing industry.
Why are we doing this? Well, I am proud of our team and I think you’ll find them as interesting and intelligent as I do. Also, I’m a student of viral video and the social media space and I want to test the waters as it relates to what corporate america is doing (and not doing) to spread buzz and build next generation work places.
Finally, I just thought it would be cool to put some people in front of a video camera that have never done so before, have a little bit of fun, and see if Pepperjam can spread some additional buzz about why we are the leader in online marketing.

News broke across the internet earlier today that MediaWhiz (parent of Text-Link-Ads) purchased AuctionAds for an undisclosed sum of money.
Congratulations to Shoemoney and Dillsmack on this absolutely incredible accomplishment. In my opinion, AuctionAds was the most impressive new product launch of 2007 - in less than 5-months the product, which is an eBay ad network widget, gained over 25K users, served nearly 1 billion impressions, and sold for what I imagine is millions of dollars.
I have to admit, I am honored that I’m in Vegas for this weekend with Shoemoney and Dillsmack for my bachelor party (more on that in a future post….maybe!)
