Forbes

Forbes.com broke a story today entitled, “Click Fraud Goes Viral.” The article was written by Andy Greenberg.

The article is based on a recent study by Click Forensics that revealed that the percentage of clicks on online ads that were fraudulent climbed to 15.8% in the second quarter of 2007, an increase of a full percentage point in just three months. And the volume of fraudulent clicks found on online content networks like Google Adsense and Yahoo Publisher Network is more disturbing: 25.6% of those clicks were bogus, compared with 21.9% at the end of last quarter.

I was quoted and Pepperjam was referenced several times in the Forbes article. Check it out HERE.

Thanks to Andy Greenberg for using me once again as an authority in his excellent articles!

Today’s article comes off the heels of an article earlier in the week featuring Pepperjam on CNNMoney.com - that article delt with making money from search arbitrage.

CNN Money

CNNMoney.com posted a story today called “How to beat Yahoo at its own game: Mining inefficiencies in the online ad market can be a great way to make a buck.”

The article mentions Pepperjam and I was quoted in the article twice on search arbitrage issues.

The original story was covered in this month’s Business 2.0 Magazine, which is on news stands right now.

Thanks again to author Paul Sloan for using Pepperjam as an authority on the important issue of search engine marketing arbitrage.

On other news, check out Shoemoney - he is profiled in the current issue of Business Week.

Kris Jones on Social Media - Part 1

I recently did an interview for David Wilson over at social-media-optimization.com. HERE IS a link to Part 1 of a two part interview (the other part will be published tomorrow). Dave and I go into quite a bit of depth about how Pepperjam has successfully used Social Media to generate buzz and new business.

The interview is definitely worth the read, especially since I was asked some really great questions.

Business 2.0
Also, a special thanks to Paul Sloan, Senior Editor at Business 2.0 magazine. Paul interviewed me for an article he did for this month’s Business 2.0 Magazine called “Working the Spread” - the article appears on page 50. We talk about search arbitrage and some other ways of making money using arbitrage techniques. At this point I don’t think they offer access to the article online so I can’t link to it….you’ll just have to pony-up the $4.99 to buy yourself a copy.

Lastly, if you haven’t watched Brock’s (VP of Bus Dev) Meet the Pepperjam video yet you must be crazy - he shaves his head and does an Indian dance.
