Thanks for the very good post. I have a question for you. Does google adwords system allows us to place google affiliate network links. Still will it have an impact of quality score?

I how quality score gets impacted if we want to use only affiliate link without creating a landing page. Any thoughts about this?

I've read some info lately which suggested that even general SEO factors (like link building) help quality score.

I don't necessarily agree with it (I think there's still a bit of "voodoo" around Quality Score - and even a year people are still nutting out some of the fine details) but it's interesting reading.

Nice post. Ultimately it seems to be a mystery for me, especially when you look carefully all the way down at the keyword level. It's beyond me how certain terms can get Great scores and terms that are clearly more relevant to a human can get "Poor" and so on. Even when I consider things like the search volume / etc., I still run into cases where it just doesn't make sense.

Anyway it's great to find posts like this in my reader, so keep up the good work!
