					<description>Blackbeard - well said.  I tend to agree with you that Google could have solved the MFA problem in other ways.  I also agree that Google is going after affiliates, but the fact that they won't admit it is sad.  Affiliates need a voice and I think Google needs to update their guidelines to reflect PPC affiliates who in fact provide value to the user, as well as the merchant partner.</description>

					<description>Personally, when the quality score algo hit, I thought it had more to do with Google moving into the CPA game in the next year or so. While I agree that MFA's are bad, there is a super-easy solution for them. Google could just turn off the AdSense on the landing page that they are sent to. If the user is using another contextual ad like YPN, perhaps google could just scan for that and penalize accordingly. Either way, if Google's quality score was really about stopping the MFA's, then they would have simply made it so that landing pages can't have AdSense or YPN on them. 

Obviously, they chose to go beyond that to get affiliates as well. Thus, I'm thinking that Google is trying to slow the affiliate arbitrage down in some markets so that they will have an easier time building their CPA business. I know that some publishers might be stoked aobut AdSense having CPA payments, but for affiliate advertisers, Google CPA is bad news.</description>
