Danny Sullivan to leave Search-Engine Watch & Search-Engine Strategies Conferences
News broke this morning that Danny Sullivan will be leaving Search-Engine Watch (SEW) & Search-Engine Strategies (SES) Conferences at the end of this year. You can learn more about Danny Sullivan here and on his blog, Daggle.
As a frequent speaker and participant at SES, I am very sorry to see Danny leave. My thoughts (from Danny’s Blog) are below:
I think SEM companies around the globe feel that they lost one of their top employees in Danny Sullivan. Not that Danny was employed by any of us, but he played a central role in the way we have grown our businesses and respected others in the industry. Danny has definitely created a legacy that is matched by no other and will be followed regardless of what he does. If Danny creates his own SEW, we will read it; if he creates his own SES, we will attend.
My final thoughts…just in case Incisive is reading this blog - I speak (and participate) at SES because of Danny Sullivan - Danny provides SEW and SES with leadership that can not be replaced. It is a breath of fresh air to have attended a conference that isn’t overly corporate or overly commercialized - This is because of Danny Sullivan - He will be sorely missed.
DANNY - if you are reading - Pepperjam, one of the fastest growing companies in the US according to Inc. Magazine, is hiring!!! We would love to have you join our executive team!
